The following section describes the terms and conditions for Canada's Online DVD Rental Store. By using our website and subscribing to our service you agree to the terms outlined below. Please read them carefully.
The cost for our various rental subscription packages are as follows:
3 DVDs out at the time for $22.99/month + applicable taxes
4 DVDs out at the time for $24.99/month + applicable taxes
5 DVDs out at the time for $32.95/month + applicable taxes
6 DVDs out at the time for $34.96/month + applicable taxes
2 DVD/Games out at the time for $19.99/month + applicable taxes
3 DVD/Games out at the time for $24.99/month + applicable taxes
Please note that Video Games are only available on the last two plans.
Your credit card will continue to be billed each month until you cancel. Your billing date is the same every month, and is the day you begin service. In the event that you fail to pay the monthly membership fee, taxes, or do not return discs rented to you, DVD-Rental.ca may take all remedies against you to collect such fees owed and may recover from you all costs and expenses incurred by DVD-Rental.ca to collect the outstanding fees, including reasonable attorney's fees and expenses, interest (2% per month) and such fees and expenses incurred by DVD-Rental.ca personnel in the collection of such fees.
You may cancel at any time with no penalties. You must cancel prior to your billing date to avoid being billed for the next month. DVD-Rental.ca reserves the right to cancel accounts for misuse or abuse of the service.
We do not offer refunds for partial monthly periods. All outstanding titles must be returned within 6 business days. Your credit card will be billed the retail price of any titles not returned. In the event a title is returned after the 6 business days, your credit card will be refunded less a $5.00 per week rental fee per title.
You must report lost or damaged discs to DVD-Rental.ca immediately. Your service will continue uninterrupted, while we investigate the incident. Depending on the cause of the loss or damage, DVD-Rental.ca reserves the right to charge you the full retail value of the disc. Failure or refusal to pay will constitute breach of these terms, and DVD-Rental.ca may terminate your account and take any necessary steps to recover the cost of the disc.
If you think your disc has been lost in the mail, you are required to notify us immediately. We will request information from you to provide to Canada Post and the Police for investigation. We may suspend your service during the investigation. These steps are necessary to reduce the incidence rate of lost/stolen discs.
DVD-Rental.ca is not responsible for discs that are lost, stolen or damaged once they leave our facility.
Video Game Manuals are sent out by request only. A charge of $20 will be payable to DVD-Rental.ca, if a video game manual is not returned.
DVD-Rental.ca will charge your credit card the rates as indicated above each month on your billing date. In some circumstances, DVD-Rental.ca may pre-authorize your credit card the monthly fee for any membership level change. This is not a charge, but is a verification that your credit card is active and has funds available. You will only be charged for your monthly subscription and/or if you fail to return a disc. ALSO NOTE THAT WE LOG YOUR IP ADDRESS IN ALL CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS FOR YOUR SECURITY. ANY FRAUDULANT USE OF CREDIT CARDS WILL TREATED SERIOUSLY AND WILL RESULT IN A POLICE REPORT AND LEGAL ACTION BEING TAKEN.
DVD-Rental.ca customers will be signed up for our occasional email newsletter featuring new releases and updates to our website. We offer a safe unsubscribe function allowing you to easily remove your email address should you wish to discontinue deliver of the newsletter.
From time to time, DVD-Rental.ca offers Free Trials and Coupons for service (it will be clearly stated on our home page when free trials or other promotions are ongoing). Free Trials and Coupons are only available to new customers of DVD-Rental.ca and there is one redemption per customer/address, unless otherwise noted. Free Trial coupons are valid for our 3 DVDs out at a time membership, unless otherwise specified. If you choose a higher disc package, you will be upgraded when your free trial ends.
All content included on this site is the property of DVD-Rental.ca, or its content suppliers and protected by Canadian and international copyright laws.
You must be over 18 years of age to use this site. DVD-Rental.ca only ships within Canada.
The user agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless DVD-Rental.ca, its providers, agents, directors, officers, employees, suppliers, service providers and all other related persons from and against any liabilities, expenses and costs (including legal fees), claim, demand, or damage, asserted by any third party due to or arising out of the user's use of or conduct on the Site.
DVD-Rental.ca reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at our sole discretion. The most current version of the Terms and Conditions will be posted on our website and will supersede all previous versions.
